Welcome to Issue 11 of Harare Magazine. It has taken a little longer than expected to get this issue together, but I think it’s worth the wait! I really wanted to recognise “The Zimbabwean” in this cover story, and with the help and contributions of many people, I believe we have done just that.
The incredible piece of artwork by Barry Lungu, Pride, is a perfect symbol to embody the concept of the story. I would like to personally thank all those who sent in their answers to my question.
Also in this issue is a great Personality of the Month: David Michie. David was recently in Zimbabwe and I was fortunate enough to get to know him. I have reviewed his delightful book, The Dalai Lama’s Cat, in The Book Report and encourage everyone to read this novel! David is originally from Zimbabwe and now lives in Australia; his story is unique and I think you’ll find him as compelling as I did.
Our regular contributors have given us some great reading material and I think you’ll be very interested to read about Zimbabwe Fashion Week, Dr. Austin Jeans’ take on stubborn weight loss and gardening tips from Ann Hamilton-King. Birdlife Zimbabwe has given us some super insight into the fascinating owls calling around town and Nikolina has some given some very useful advice on Digital Marketing.
Enjoy the magazine!
